Work and Play

Rodeheaver Boys Ranch is a working ranch maintaining horses, cattle, swine and other livestock. The boys are directly involved in the care of the animals and keeping our community functioning.

Each boy has a job, either at the farm, in the dining hall, with maintenance, the vehicle shop, the grounds crew or trash detail. When a boy leaves Rodeheaver, he knows how to work and the value of working together. The recreational opportunities are endless. There are horses to ride, a swimming pool, baseball field and hundreds of acres of woods. The St. Johns River lends itself to even more activities: Fishing, canoeing, camping, skiing, etc. Recreation is a very important factor. We work hard and we play hard too.
